I think Z is still within reach for many servants in terms of physical feats. Most normal people (like Yamcha and Tien) in Z could still sorta see the fights happening. I don't think the level of physical stats is wide enough for any Z fighters to completely flatten Lancer. Maybe it's just DBZ being old anime so the feats don't come across as impressive.
