Have a Galaxy S21+. Will probably upgrade next year, maybe to a foldable phone. The foldable phones freak me out in an uncanny valley kind of way
Not sure if people have experience with them, but my dad has a folding phone. He likes it in most ways, but he dislikes how small the phone screen is when it's folded up, and of course, that's how he uses it a lot of the time when he's just casually pulling it out or whatever.
Isnt that, like, the whole point of the folding phone? Folds to fit in your pocket and for casual things, unfolds for more dedicated use.Correct. But a lot of the use you get out of a phone is casual, so the sacrifice ends up more painful than people expect.

I guess I don't know what type of foldable he has, but I've seen ones where folded, the outside screen is as big as a regular phone. In that instance, I wouldn't see a problem, as the huge unfolded screen is like a bonus.Samsung Galaxy Fold4
The only reason I upgraded was because the charging cable kept falling out and refused to stay in for some reason
Do people really track these things that stringently.
You ever clean the port on the phone out with a toothpick? Lint/dust/dirt buildup will cause that.
I'd read this when I had the problem and scraped the fuck outta in there but it had no effect. I thought for sure it was actually going to fix it when some crud came on out but it just never was satisfied to accept a charging cable again I guess.
I dont buy a phone very often, and its a pretty big purchase/kind of an effort, so its not hard to loosely remember when it happened last.
Do people really track these things that stringently. (Yes, they do. I've known people who upgrade their phone religiously the second their contract allows them to.)
