-- Match 1: Song of Mourning: The Eternal Wind vs. Sight of Silence --
Big FE energy from this PSOng or PSONG or PSong or whatever. It's got some really brilliant moments but I feel like it still doesn't do quite enough to stand out among the rest of similar songs? But it does do what it does really well. I feel kinda bad cuz I feel like this song could grow on me over time but it's hard to beat Sight of Silence. Such a cool piece and I love how it changes and develops over time, esp considering it was very unnecessary for what game it comes from. Classic Gurumin W.

-- Match 2: An Empty Tome vs. Milennnium Spark (Firestorm BT MIX) --
Oh boy, my only song remaining is up today. An Empty Tome is a solid catchy song, so much so that I was fine accidentally listening to the whole upload, but nothing really hits super hard for me. Feels almost like it should be a fighting game song. But yeah, strong melody anyways. Millennium Spark is just such an amazing rendition, the power of the melody is felt throughout, there's enough variation, and there's just a permanent DRIVE to keep going. Very much a headbanger, but also with that adventurous feel that I love with so many of my favourites.

-- Match 3: Dancing Mad vs. Calling --
As I kinda knew already, Dancing Mad is just not for me. Loud and oppressive has just never done anything for me, and no amount of variation or cool times will really change that. It's cool inherently, but just not super enjoyable, and maybe I'm wrong, but it feels kinda simple emotionally still to me. I dunno how Calling hasn't retired yet, though it's too bad it's not in my ideal still lmao. Really bumping back with a lot of strength and rebelliousness of the vocals, just a really great combination and the layered voices makes it feel more like, well, a rallying call. Maybe an unconventional thing to point out, but I love how the rhythm of the vocals is used too, with the stressing on the beat especially when the background music is less complicated - or nonexistent lol.
