Peaf's mechanics suddenly became irrelevant because the roleblocker died. Easy enough to just have the least suspected member of scum do the kill on HB, then, because now scum is reeling if HB is indeed the cop. Which, if he isn't, why the hell has nobody countered him? That would take quite the explanation for me to believe it.
Only Peaf would know that Peaf's abilities would be less effective with the RB being dead. Scum had no reason to think that night kills couldn't be redirected.
