I think the proportion of team Fun is really low (or matchmaking is totally busted) - in my last 50 matches on team grub in the Pro queue, only 2 were against team Fun.

I also think that actively using your weapon in the lobby might hurt matchmaking success? I've stopped doing anything between matches and I feel like that upped my match success rate, though it might have just been from playing in a more off-peak time.

I think that's correct - I've been busy since the midway point so my data was all from the first half. It could just be that I'm just particularly unlucky, or everyone was playing in the Open queue.

I'm irredeemably garbage at this game. Like I can't even aim my gun properly - any time i get into an engagement with another person they're able to aim their gun at me and kill me and I simply can't. all I can do is ink territory and win that way (though fortunately that IS a way to win, just playing area denial and not dying)

allllllllright I'm done for the night, had a really close-call 100x win (44v45%) woooo

also ended off with a couple 10x and a tricolor win woooo doin' good work for Team Funnnnn

now looking back and uh... I've played tricolor more than I've faced actually Grub, wut?

Of the games I have a record of: Gear 54, Grub 6, Tricolor 8......... ????

anyhow replay'd my fav tricolor dominance: RU1Q-5734-AG6H-Y1FU

Really just me going into their bases and alternating pushes against Grub & Gear... til I realize how easily I can bully Gear specifically lol. But if you can keep a pair at bay then the rest of your team is pretty well free to dominate the pair, meanwhile Gear really couldn't be assed to even re-cover over my ink. God I love these Battle Replays, the overhead view's a joy.

also fun making a lot of work for one team to have to re-paint over so you can go check out how the other side's doing lmao, i'm loving this tricolor defence after just being tortured playing defence for Scissors last month

lmao just had a tricolor where Grub actually got two Ultra Signals so even the middle of the map had those sprinklers spraying orange for them but they still came 3rd because they did an absolute shit job inking their base which was either green or un-inked altogether yeesh. Gear was a non-issue at least from my perspective.

Surprised by Fun taking Pro but losing Open... since I was always playing Open for the Tricolors which were easily the best matches. I know I've heard others complain but I don't get it, unless I got a really bad team we typically dominated our matches easily *shrug*

Speaking of Salmon Run, Ive found that its way more enjoyable if I demote myself once I reach Profreshional +2. The pay increase is not proportional to the difficulty increase and you get more points from actually completing a run on a lower level than you do from failing at any point in the higher ranks. Once people understand how to play better in a few weeks or months then Profreshional +2 and +3 might actually be worth staying at.

I believe it wont call the game over by wipeout if anyones bombs or triple inkstrikes are still active, in case it revives someone. That said, I couldnt see or hear any evidence of that in your video.

Halo ODST Firefight

3 waves (unless a extra bonus round boss Chohozuna pops up), team of 4 players

grunts and a buncha different types of boss salmons come in, boss salmons drop Golden Eggs which you deposit into your base to meet a quota # of eggs before the wave's end

*edit* also set of 4 weapons assigned, each player starts with one and they're swapped around randomly between waves

first time you visit is tutorial

It's also one of the best sources of basically every currency in the game - drink tickets, gold, and ability chunks all drop in decent quantities from the milestone bonuses, which are reset with every 40-hour shift. I think I might call it my favorite game mode, and being always-on in Splatoon 3 is a great QoL change.
