No idea. I think I got Inception on DVD as a gift once and the Matrix collection as a gift too but it's possible I've never bought one myself

I know I once bought uhh Ocean's 11 on UMD so I could watch it on my PSP on a plane or train journey, but that doesn't count

I buy them every week either for work or to keep. I get them for $1 at my local thrift store, DVDs, Blu-Rays, 4K, it doesn't matter they're always $1.

Last three I picked up to sell were Topper Returns, Christine and La Chamade. Last one I kept was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1920 version).

I've decided to put my fears behind me. I'm not going back.

last one i think was about half a year ago when i got kaiju no kodomo

i still like to collect dvd/blurays for anime i enjoy, the prices have been getting pretty high here though and non-mainstream shonen stuff is never seen in physical stores

I've bough a couple dozen over the last few months.

Adam West Batman movie came today, but that was replacing a copy I lost from a decade ago. Last new thing I got was RWBY volume 8 on Blu-ray.

The Princess Bride, 2021. I was having a lot of internet outages at the time and had rewatched a lot of my favorites way too many times. Funny enough, I haven't had a major outage since buying it so it's still in the wrapper.

Game of Thrones season 5, whenever the gap between it and s6 was.

No regrets for not finishing my collection there.

EDIT: I've "bought" some from the library before, specifically when stuff gets dropped off in the night drop that aren't library materials or obvious replacements, since we haven't been able to take or store non-monetary donations for a few years now. We have a holding period in case someone did by mistake, and I picked up a collection of almost all the Daniel Craig as Bond films after said waiting period for a return donation of 10 or so. This process may change now that the Friends of the Library are resuming book sales, if they somehow clear out the storage.

I got a new, Canadian copy of Smash Ultimate from this happening, also. Serendipitous.

Eternals a couple weeks ago.

The continued deluge of streaming services made me realize I should build up a physical collection again. It helps that a lot of them come with digital copies as well.
