Normally I'd be Rowlet right away but the typing and look of Hisuian Decidueye is a huge downgrade

Might go Cyndaquil too. Just booted it up.

For those who've started, how long does it take to unlock trading? Ever since gen 5 my habit has been to start the game three times, trading my starter to someone to hold until my actual start with fire.

So far, this is a pretty fun adventure.

Can even craft Pokeballs without the needs of buying them. Just need to harvest requirement materials

About four and a half hours in, just about to go fight Kleavor . Enjoying it a lot so far! Only complaints I have early on are the lack of infinite sprint and the fact you can't jump. Also I'm trying to make a Hisuian exclusive only team and the game's being kinda sparse with the new mons so far.
Still the number one reason for the success of the Internet.

Replaced Floatzel with a giant Walrein. Hadn't used an alpha one yet

Pretty happy with Ursaring / Typhlosion / Machamp, but want to find good replacements for Staraptor and Luxray

Honestly, it feels so much better. It's slicker and moves so much faster. Not having a battle screen and diving right in, catching two or more Pokemon at once (at low levels anyway), the openness of it - it's been a breath of fresh air so far, though a bit handholdy early on.

I've barely progressed the story cause I've just been looking for new Pokemon and filling in my dex

it feels so good to be able to catch Pokemon so fast (no loading before or after battle, nickname screen, pokedex screen, etc.)

I feel extremely negatively towards the main series at this point but just playing through the tutorial of this I found myself to be pretty intrigued! This feels like the sort of step forward that people wanted Sword/Shield to be back when people were still going "oh wow guys a mainline Pokemon on a CONSOLE"

So if you just flick up the control stick you can scale any cliff provided they created terrain to stand/slide on in that point.
