They are the bane of my existence.
I do not know if the rest of the country knows what a real soft pretzel is or not but I will never pass up one if offered.
Many say the cheese steak is the best Philly food, I disagree by a mile.

What is the bane of your existence.

I'm not sure I understand the context here for "bane of your existence."

Unless your love for them runs so deep that it's become destructive to your life. Which I could see happening with soft pretzels, yum.

it was pretty obvious to me that "bane of your existence" is meant to mean a food that you enjoy so much it negatively affects your life. don't be obtuse, board 8.

Mhmm, very much agree. I think I had my favorite soft pretzels ever at the Canton Pretzel Store in Baltimore. So so so good.

If we're talking about Philly food...

Porchetta sandwich with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone > Philly cheesesteak any day. And I saw this as someone who loves a good Philly cheesesteak.

Anyway philly does have the best pretzels (leagues better than NY) but I still have a soft spot (lol) for my high school's frozen ones. They are somehow the best pretzels I've ever eaten and I think they are exclusive to public schools.

Glad to see soft pretzel fans.
Yes I meant that I like them so much that they are detrimental to my health,

My Dad gets them every Friday for the family, I wind up eating way more then I should.

I miss real pretzel factory soft pretzels. There used to be a lot around the city, now it's just a few.
The Philadelphia Pretzel Factory chain is what is common these days and they are great and all but it's just not the same as to what existed when I was a kid.

(The pic I was going to post is too big for gamefaqs, oh well. You don't get glorious pretzel photos)
