Only played 2 fully, that game was great.

I still wish had ever gotten Substance levels of VR missions (or thematic equivalent) with any of the later titles.

If I had to rate them on the total package that each game entails

2 > 5 > 3 > 1 > 4

Gameplay wise it's clearly:

5 > 2 > 1 (Twin Snakes) > 4 > 3

Story I think:

3 > 2 > 1 > 4 > 5
Props to azuarc , the current Guru of the Decade.

I forgot just how frustrating BBE run is on MGS4 can be but otherwise what a fantastic game and such a satisfying conclusion to Solid Snake's Story. The gameplay is just so damn underrated.
