Yup.

My favorite foods are usually sweet. Sure, I love chicken/pizza/sushi/enchiladas, but Greek yogurt and a variety of desserts cater to my tastes even more... And I don't think I'm ever going to get a meal at a sit-down restaurant anymore (HUGE waste of money for me)... If I have to go, I'm just going to get a dessert every time instead, even if dessert's are more expensive for what you get. >_>

Savory all the way. I enjoy sweets every so often but savory is my go to

My default thing to eat is soimething savory,... it's just that the times when I DO have my favorite sweet foods... they are absolutely heavenly amazing!!!

I have a massive sweet tooth. I love so many desserts

But it's still probably savoury. Hard call though.

The older I get, the less interested I am in desserts. I still like sweets, but I'm willing to hold off on them for a good meal.

TBH, that doesn't really help me. I learned four taste buds as a kid. I've certainly heard of umami, but I've never understood it. Reading definitions and examples doesn't really help, either. One says it's the body's reaction to MSG. So basically, it's the taste bud for Chinese take-out? Others say its the flavor of meats and broths, and yet many sources mention mushrooms and tomatoes as having umami. I don't see any underpinning connection between the foods that are usually used as examples, so I return to my previous statement, given the way the poll was structured:

There may have been a point in my childhood when I said sweets, but savory took the lead a long time ago and it has been pulling further and further away

I love Greek yogurt, but it's not sweet. It's a mild and likable sour. It's tangy. It may even hit some bitter notes. It's not sweet.

Yeah I also thought savory was anything non-sweet.

Anyway, I love both, but if I'm actually hungry I want savory stuff.
