tricky question on "which would be strongest"

the first is objectively the worst, but typically first games also do better in these than sequels

v3 is recent and pretty good, but also really polarizing

2 is my favorite but also the most likely to not do well

V3 is the one that deserves it the most, though I'm not totally against people who like 2 more.

Even if 1 has the "best chance" for being the original, it doesn't belong on a list of GotD contenders.

I still struggle with 2 vs V3 for my fav. Both are in my top 5 all time games. At the end of the day I really think I have to go with V3, it's just super tough because of a few specific characters I so thoroughly love in 2 (Ibuki, Fuyuhiko, Nagito, Gundam, Hajime is the best protag no question), but the consistency is so much higher in V3. My least favorite V3 character I like more than at least 5 characters in the 2 cast, similar to how I like barely anyone in DR1 more than even my lower DR2 picks.

It just happens to also have the worst cast.
