Godzilla Mafia Topic 5: Oh My God! They Killed Mothra!

Things were starting to look bleak. Morthra had always acted as the voice of reason for the violent inhabitants of monster island.
With her gone, there seemed to be no peaceful resolution left for this conflict. And humanity simply could not fight back
Genetic supersoldiers, latent psychics; none of it worked.
It did not help that the world governments suddenly decided to classify some of the monsters as endangered species after the unscheduled usage of an Oxygen destroyer in populated areas. Nobody knows how they got from here to there.
Finally on the third day of destruction, one man came up with a ludicrous plan that just could not fail.
What better weapon to fight against the endless tide of monsters and aliens, than giant robots?
It worked in every movie and piece of animation ever, so why would it not work for them?
But what design would it have? The Kaiju could have many forms, so they would need to vary it up as well.
One brilliant mind had the equally birlliant idea of simply creating a mechanized version of Godzilla himself, another was hoping to score a three-headed dragon and turn it into a cyborg.
But they were all beaten to the punch by a random scientist who created a simple humanoid robot who looked like neither a jet nor a jaguar.
It could fly faster than any aircraft, use more weapons than an army and grow 50 feet tall. And anywhere it went, it would play its catchy theme song.
The scientist, proud about his work, sent the machine man into the wild to take down every threat. He would be heroic, he would be memorable, he would be loud!
There was only one problem
That damn catchy theme song alerted everyone to its arrival and gave the monsters the chance to stomp it into silver dust before it could grow to their size.
Not that it would have mattered, when most monsters were already twice as big nowadays....
