because if they pretended to have a mission failure the government could say "I wonder how hardcore moon landing deniers explain Apollo 13 failing to land on the moon."

Thanks guys. I've just legit never heard anything about other missions. I've even seen that same question brought up in discussions on the moon landing and no one has ever mentioned there being more. <_<
