Damn, I saw Max's tweet earlier about something Capcom related but I don't think I would have ever guessed a card game.

I want to see gameplay.
I was the final Undisputed Champion in UCA history,
however Advokaiser was the Guru Champion!

Yeah it looks like the main franchises in this demo build are:

Street Fighter
Mega Man X
Resident Evil
Devil May Cry
Darkstalkers
Monster Hunter

Maybe one more I'm forgetting but the real game might have more stuff? Or they can add franchises with expansion packs I guess

Wait there's another Rose stan on this board? I was top 5 CP with Rose on PSN back in the day at one point (not like that really matters for anything). Really wish I had tried to go to some tournaments back in the day because I think I would have done okay.

This game has some of the worst marketing I've ever seen, lmao. The whole strategy was send a key to Maximillian (which generated no articles I saw anywhere but eventhub) and then release it quietly with zero fanfare and a completely unidentifiable name.

Damn shame cause that art is legit.

There is a card game with Street Fighter and Darkstalkers characters, the Universal Fighting System. Also has Tekken and Soulcalibur card sets IIRC

Game seems fun, maybe a little hectic for a phone. Might try to play on my tablet and see how that goes. I ended up getting a secret card and 3 legendaries out of my first packs, Xeno'jiiva. Looks like the guaranteed legendary is every 30 cards so that feels pretty lucky!

Hopefully I can transfer over to my tablet easily because bluestacks crashes about every 15 seconds on PC.

I want to like this. The presentation is very good. I got the Legendary Morrigan Zen posted with the 34 free packs. Also got two Epic M Bisons and Epic Lady.

But having looked through all the cards now I'm just not seeing a lot of depth. Also the interface makes it a bit hard to immediately see card effects if you don't know them by art. I dunno I'll probably poke around at it a bit but it's hard to be too enthusiastic so far.

Seems unlikely unfortunately. I think it needed very good gameplay out of the box to offset the piss poor marketing if it had any chance.

Game has been growing on me a bit. I'm not sure I get deckbuilding theory very well. I kinda dislike that it's so hard to multicolor. I wanted to run my 7 cost Lady epic in the Dante deck but can't do it.

Also on nitpicking I really dislike that Vergil is a weaker version of a generic DMC enemy
