I think best advice is to go through steam and select VR/Vive/best reviews and download the top 10 or so free entries, so you'll have them ready to go when the hardware arrives. So this list:

After you've gotten through that as a sample you can start moving on to the best of the paid games (which are largely the ones off that same list, in my experience).
