Generally speaking I went from being angry with GS to feeling bad for it. Episode 2 was pretty lame in general. Also a super low effort production from White Fox all around.
But hey, at least Crunchy decided to put a content warning in front of each episode now, lol.

SAO's only big flaw for me is the crappy villains. When there's not a crappy villain I like it a lot. Like imagine if the major villains were all replaced by dragons. That'd be great.

For real though, I just don't think I have it in me to understand the SAO die hard life.
The entire hour long premeir was such an absolute nothing waste of time other than getting to see all the old characters be cool in GGO for 2 minutes.
I guess for fans, all that matters is that SAO is in front of them. I can relate I guess, I do the same for Danganronpa even when it sucks, like a bunch of DR3.

Okay time to watch Japanese anime for the first time in two months. Ended up dropping a number of titles from last season since I don't really care to watch them. Starting with Overlord.

I don't think I'm a diehard SAO fan, for the record. I almost didn't continue the series after season 1, and I still never watched either of the movies which frankly I don't care about at all. I have significant problems with large stretches of the show, and I wasn't particularly excited by the prospect of getting 48 more episodes of SAO (though it's turning out good so far!). It was more just like "oh so there's more SAO I guess we'll watch it and see how it turns out".
I just legitimately consider this to be a series that is good more often than it is bad.

I mean, I've played Chrono Cross, and I do love it, but I'm not really sure what you're getting at there. I enjoy most of the intelligent CC villains (Lynx and Harle are both a lot of fun), so having them be replaced by non-intelligent villains wouldn't exactly be a plus.

Seriously though, why does Goblin Slayer himself continuously turn CG for seemingly innocuous scenes that would barely cost anything to animate? I would get if it were action, but he's usually animated in the action scenes.
