I'm of the opinion that if you have to adjust your expectations, something has already gone wrong. Shows are allowed to -- and should -- evolve but it has to feel natural. LOST was just jarring and floundered, even after they didn't have to pump out filler episodes (which were another nasty problem on their own) anymore.
Plus, I'm of the opinion that the only thing the last few seasons of LOST did right was taking the luster off the
John Locke
character, who I never enjoyed.
If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?
