The Form Voltron sequence is pretty lame in the Netflix show. It's missing the wholly gratuitous lightning effects.

Honestly, there's something that's just pure magic about the starting the Lions sequence and form Voltron sequence from the original show. None of the gazillion of shows that have copied that formula since have been able to recapture that. Certainly not the Neflix Voltron.

I mean, technically speaking, you just watched a three-parter that, thanks to the medium, doesn't actually need to divide itself over three episodes.

So watching the pilot is still significant.

Lotor existing is far from being a spoiler, people were waiting for him since episode 1.

He's been a tradition since the original series, actually.
