Oh nice. Massdrop got another batch of Sennheiser HD 6XX (650) for $200.

before posting the link, know a couple things:
1) Massdrop basically is a giant group buy. there won't be an issue with hitting any goals here, it'll sell out well before that. been around for a couple years now.
2) you pay up front in when it's done (end of July) and won't get your product until a later time. in this case, that's December. yes, you're essentially pre-ordering headphones for Christmas.
3) the HD 6XX are basically repainted HD 650, which easily rank among the best in the world under $500. you can probably raise the number there to something higher, i don't know super high end well.

sometimes yeah, the issue is really just a matter of how long it takes. i generally don't see it much and don't bother with it because if i want something i usually 1) already have backups, or 2) need it sooner than 2+ months from now. keyboards, monitors, headphones, etc fit in that. then there's the fact that stuff like keyboards and monitors will regularly go on sale anyway so you could end up locking yourself into something that dropped in price already.

that said, i don't got anything this good and feel it'll be a good intro to the "what's wrong with you?" tier. at this level headphones ain't dropping in price that easy and highly, highly doubt you'll find it for anything significantly less (supposedly somebody on SD got it for $25 cheaper somehow).
