Really boring. They tried to implement battles like the Mario RPGs, but it just didn't work.

the best sonic rpg!
(and the only one.)

game is uh.... 4/10 material. tops. the more i remember the battle system, the lower i want to rate this thing. at the time people were saying 'this isnt' bad!" but no, it really is. biggest problem the game has is the battle system, for some bizarre reason they decided it would be a good idea for your attacks to come out of EBA. there's equipment later on to get rid of that, i highly recommend, if you play this game, to play it with a cheat on to get it ASAP. the game then becomes not too bad.

but i gave up with it. tried to like it. couldn't. then it got bad and really, really annoying with that damn thing. may try it again one day with the equip because hey, it might not suck that way.

this game just sounds so terrible

Yeah this game is an abomination and showed me just how much effort Bioware puts in their lackluster games these days.

Apparently Richard Jacques was going to make the soundtrack but jumped ship late in development or something? It's pretty hilarious that they use crappy fan MIDI songs in the game though.

Also the people who made the cutscenes apparently had never used flash before, resulting in some truly spectacular QUALITY animation.

Just play Sonic Generations 3DS instead. They remixed the Big Arms music properly.

Wow, the music for this game is embarrassing. I think I just literally heard a car horn honk as a featured instrument in that second one.
