Tennessee Titans cornerback L'Jarius Sneed was indicted by a grand jury on Tuesday in Dallas County, Texas, on a misdemeanor charge of failure to report a felony from an incident that occurred in December 2024.
Sneed is accused of having observed the commission of a felony under circumstances in which serious bodily injury or death may have resulted and knowingly failing to immediately report the commission of the offense to a law enforcement officer. The charge is punishable by one year in county jail and/or a fine of up to $4,000.

I thought this was a made up law from the Seinfeld finale. Do they also charge victims and witnesses that don't report because they fear for their safety?
He should be sentenced to play for a joke team like the Titans!

The crime that he witnessed was the Titans' offense
I know it might be wrong, but I'm in love with Stacy's dong
I didn't know anyone except mandatory reporters could be held liable for not reporting a crime.
Who is? I am!
I am kind of confused here.

The player is being sued in court for participating in a crime, but he was only indicted by a grand jury on failing to report a felony after observing one?

The incident allegedly occurred on Dec. 6, 2024, when Christian Nshimiyimana, who owns an exotic car rental business and was researching vehicles for his company, was sitting inside the Mercedes G-Wagon at a dealership in Carrollton, Texas. Nshimiyimana alleges Sneed and his personal assistant pulled up to the dealership in a rented Lamborghini Urus and shot at him while he was sitting inside his vehicle.

Sneed is being sued for $1 million by Nshimiyimana. The lawsuit filed on Feb. 20 in Dallas County, Texas, accuses Sneed and a defendant listed as John Doe of "an unprovoked attack in cold blood and broad daylight." Sneed and his accomplice were arrested by the Carrollton Police Department on allegations of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after the shooting.

Reading between the lines, if the player was arrested for shooting someone, but is only being indicted, does that mean that his co-conspirator is taking the fall, and claiming that the player wasn't aware that a crime was going to be committed? Because if the player did drive there with the intent to shoot at the victim, then the charge should obviously be much more serious than "failure to report a felony", since driving there would, at the very least, make him a co-conspirator in a violent crime.
Not changing this sig until the Knicks win the NBA Championship! Started 4/23/2010!
Well he was a former Chief. My initial guess was close. Don't know if i agree with that being a law though.
