It's worth noting that technically, this is true. The world has (and generally has been) a fair bit warmer than it currently is now - but the thing climate deniers refuse to acknowledge is that
people can't live in those conditions.
It really doesn't matter if it was warmer in the Carboniferous, since if people made a Time Machine and went back to that period, they'd die in about 10 minutes because our bodies are not capable of handling
that much oxygen

Its one of those stupid points everyone knows is bullshit, but because there's that tiny kernel of a correct idea, climate change deniers will throw it out at every opportunity and hope you aren't thinking hard enough that it'll stick.
