Perhaps a couple of high profile Wife Swap-esque television shows that swap liberal and MAGA families (including benefits) and show what happens when an asshole like Trump does this.

Nothing seems to work except when it happens to me! Perhaps the trick is to make it feel like that happened.

They can be fixed but the conditioning runs incredibly deep so not all of them can. For them, society should operate a certain way and its natural and common sense. They cant comprehend why its being challenged, nor do they want to empathise with those it affects the most.

They view tackling inequality as a zero-sum game where they lose out on the privileges and pleasures they enjoy in society, whether theyre well-off or not. Even those who arent educated are aware on a basic level that whatever power and privilege they have comes from inequality and exploitation, so even if that ultimately brings more harm than good and even if they suffer for it, theyll seek to maintain the status quo, because for them, its better the devil you know.

Thats why they latch onto Trump so hard, they perceive themselves to be the underdogs under attack and hes their bastion. He embodies all of the values and traits theyve been conditioned to aspire towards that they feels being lost. Through him, they hope to return to how they feel things used to be and then order can be restored, regardless of what it actually was. Its all bullshit of course but thats what it is.

i reckon they have to voluntarely lay off the Kool Aid at this point even if some cases may be harder than others tho...

Short term: You can't.

Long term, you have to dismantle the machine that made them. Obviously that means getting rid of the Fox News of the world, but it's also giving them critical thinking skills. It's sorting out their material needs, as happy people generally aren't seeking a cause of their misery. You have to show them the world as it is, rather than just their cognition.

You can't. Trumper are a lost cause. They will refuse to change and they will gladly die on what ever shitty hill that Trump creates. All we can do is get rid of them.
