Evil Dead is nothing like the rest of the series, just as a heads-up.

The sequel is when it starts shifting towards the goof, the first one is a lot closer to actual horror.

It's honestly up to you.

1 has a lot of good to it, but it's also slow as shit.

Evil Dead 2 basically hits the same beats in the same story with a tighter cast and a more cohesive vision.
