How does LRG work? Do you have to preorder or can you buy after release? Do they have EU versions or do you have to pay big import fees?

They do one print of the games but they leave the preorder open for an amount of time. After the preorder window has closed that is when manufacturing begins and eventually shipped out.

Some of their stuff makes it to Best Buy shelves and Amazon. I found Tetris Effect Connected that way a few years ago.

Unsure if they have changed and improved, but from what I've gathered, as a customer myself, they've dropped in quality and have engaged in shady business practices such as withholding a batch of a production and reselling them on an alternative ebay account at inflated prices.

As a North Carolina local CLOSE to the Cary brick and mortar location, I was happy to support them for years. Now I find that support in question.

Never had an issue with LRG personally, but I've hear of people having to wait years to receive what they pre-ordered.

Yea kof 2002 UM, freedom planet and night in the woods I had to wait a year for it. You really got to be patient or not care enough to get them to arrive.

I did hear they handled one step from Eden really badly falsely advertised on things.

The original Fear Effect was just recently released as a physical.

I'm definitely grabbing the Earnest Evans Collection (which should actually be called The Annet Collection, since Earnest is only playable in the first game.) EE is a pretty damn bad game, but I still love it, plus the MegaCD version has a banger OST. El Viento, meanwhile, is a legitimate "hidden gem" game that I've always enjoyed playing.

Other regions are handled slightly differently.
LRG is affiliated with Clear River Games in Europe, and Superdeluxe in Japan.
