Given all the references to Pokemon XY is ZA kinda like a soft sequel to that game? Never played XY.

Z was the canceled third game, and supposedly they included a few of the planned plotlines in ZA, so I would say so

Im planning to replay X/Y pretty soon. This game got me in the mood to revisit Kalos. Maybe itll hit a little different now that weve finally gotten closure on the story and the region.

Her Pokemon would destroy that trainer's though. It would destroy Canari and her grandpa.
Her brother is cracked too. Not even needing any Pokemon to bust down locked gates.

Overall it was...okay. Honestly felt like a first draft in a lot of ways. The battle system was alright, could have used some refinement but I think with some tweaks it could be something special. I don't want it to replace the turn-based battles of the mainline games tho.

As for the story...eh, it was serviceable. I don't expect good stories from Pokemon games but even then it was a little light on anything genuinely interesting. And god was Taunie/Urbain a horrible friend, making us fix their messes for like half of the game lol. The Pokemon Trainers were fun at least.

The final boss was not fun. Just beat these two flowers again and again and again. Pretty lame design.

Overall, I didn't hate it. I'll probably do some post-game stuff and complete the Pokedex. I also wanna try a second save file to have some fun playing the opposite gender with the other rival. I know it's the same, but still, it's the vibes man lol.

Also, I got a Shiny Eevee, too late to really use it, but still nice to have lol

I might do a replay of X/Y soon too, but again, I need to think of what kind of playthrough I want to do. X/Y are way too easy if you just play normally.

If they are angry it bounces, if they are out of range it goes through you can lock on and still be slightly out of range, which is just dumb

Yeah I reached the credits and saw there was a new Infinite Z-A Royale thing, but I assumed that was just post-game stuff and the story itself was over.

Flabebe is one of the hardest shinies to actually see any difference on, partly because it's so small.

The lower half of its body that's normally green is purple on the shiny.

It's easier to tell on Floette because there's more green parts that turn purple.

Nope, that stuff is story-related. You have to do 15 reward matches in the Infinite Z-A Royale to unlock the final main mission.

Ive done 4 reward matches so far. 15 seems like a slog especially since you have to grind out the ticket each time >_>

Yeah, I've only gotten to 6 or so. I'm not sure I'll bother with all the post game stuff to get to 15.

Doing the 15 reward battles is required to complete the Pokedex since the last main mission in the post-game after those 15 reward battles is how you catch Zygarde .

No you don't... I still have to do the 15 matches and I finished the Pokedex awhile ago... The Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde quests are seperate things

Catch Xerneas and Yveltal and then go back to the hotel. Lysandre challenges you and then after beating him you can battle Zygarde

I caught Xerneas and Yveltal really early (after like 2-3 reward battles) but the game never told me to go back to Hotel Z until after I completed the 15th reward battle. That's why I assumed the 15 reward battles was required to unlock that quest. You're telling me I could have gone to the hotel and triggered the Lysandre battle and the Zygarde quest sooner?

It doesnt tell you to return to the hotel. You just go back and the event triggers. Idk if its supposed to be hidden or what
