I didn't know it had Kurt Russell! It sure does! GOAT movie, frfr tbqh.
It's an all-time great and you should totally watch itthis. movie still holds up in atmosphere and tension so watch it and stop spoiling yourself already
Keep in mind I don't like horror or any of that stuff
Keep in mind I don't like horror or any of that stuff. I only have watched Alien, for better or worse. So... if I've already been able to stomach Alien (pun unwillingly intended) will I be able to handle The Thing? His movies are more Lovecraftrian horror than straight up horror. It's about making you question what's going on and giving you a sense of anxiety.
I really want to know what That Thing is, my curiosity is burning.
It's the best movie ever made.
It really is one of the best movies ever, you should watch it tc.I really do find it astonishing how nowadays it's rightfully considered one of the kings of horror, but back then the reception was beyond inaccurate.

I have it a perfect score on Letterboxd, one of the most gripping movies I've ever watched. It's definitely scary with good horrible creature designs but I processed it more like a thriller than something that keeps me up at night.
My biggest pet peeve regarding the plot is online arguments about (end scene spoiler)whether one of the two is a Thing at the end of the movie, when the point of the ending is clearly the irony in how the two who got along the least are now the sole survivors having won the day together
