But I couldn't quite place it, so I looked it up.

It's Leonard FUCKING Nimoy. Also in later games he's voiced by Rutger Hauer and Christopher Lloyd. Xehanort is now my new favorite.

Also, I promise I wasn't blubbering like a baby at the end of KH2.

KH has a bizarrely stacked cast at times, especially in the first game

Leon is voiced by fuckin' David Boreanaz of all people.

(It's probably why he sounds so phoned in)

Its such a shame that Leonard Nimoy passed before KH3 came out.

Not that Rutger did a bad performance but dude sounds nothing like Nimoy

I get a kick out of the fact that they cast Mark Hamill as Eraqus, to be opposite Leonard Nimoy as Xehanort.
And yeah KH1 had a stacked cast too.

Xehanort was one of Nimoy's last roles.
What a fuddy duddy.

You may not watch those shows but Aqua is Thea from Arrow and Terra is Logan from Veronica Mars. And of course Ventus (like Roxas) is pop singer Jesse McCartney.
Probably the only Mario Maker 2 level I'll ever create worth sharing.

The funny thing is that Rutger Hauer also passed away.

So they replaced him with Christopher Lloyd.

When BbS was first coming out, a lot of fans were hoping that Christopher Lloyd would dub Xehanort, so it's kinda funny that after almost a full decade it finally happened. Though it's a shame it only happened because of the death of two other great actors.

I think Nimoy's the best of the three performances, but that's probably just because he's the original. Hauer never really fit the character, imo, but Lloyd's is really fun -- you can tell he's having fun with it.

While I think Rutger did an alright job? It felt like he was trying to sound like Nimoy a bit and failed at it and it hurt his overall performance, he absolutely had the skills to do better. I wonder if voice direction was the issue.

Christopher Lloyd on the other hand didn't try to sound like either, he did his own thing and I feel he knocked it out of the park.

Nimoy obviously was perfection.
The commercial says that Church isn't for perfect people, I guess that's why I'm an atheist.

The actor that plays Terra is so bad, I just want to listen to Xehanort talk. Aqua also has a voice that's pleasant, but I don't know much about her yet.

Aqua is generally well received. Terra is definitely more mixed.

Aqua's voice is more well received than Terra, but both of their performances were points of criticism when the game came out. People generally said everyone besides them did a great job. Aqua sounds bored or unintentionally flat for most of her lines.

I'm probably just used to their voices by now since I played BbS well over a decade ago, but I honestly can't imagine anyone else voicing Terra now. Like, that's just his voice to me. I kinda like it.
