It invalidates every emotional beat because the events didn't actually happen within the realm of the game. None of the relationships and moments of loss, etc. were authentic. Kaede never truly gave two shits about Shuichi for example. She had zero faith in humanity . This isn't complicated bro.
It also brings the thought that if lived experiences and emotions are real, does it even matter that their lives and professions were fabricated? Sure, outside the game they may have been total assholes, but after their memories are wiped...I'm sure that what they experience is still real to them. It's still anger and suffering, feelings of love, feelings of camaraderie that they experience.

Knowing that, that they weren't knowingly just playing a game, I don't think it invalidates the emotional beats at all.

Yes it did? Well, it more just overtly and explicitly stated it. Literally the entire ending of it was that it was that everything was always a game show. It even makes it pretty clear that 1 and 2 were unambiguously a part of it when they showed the titles off.

Incorrect, 1 and 2 in V3 universe were fictional video games/media, after that people decided to turn it into a reality show based off that media. Hence "ultimate real fiction", it is a real version of the fictional game. My objection was on the part where people say none of it matters, because the theme that shuichi says many times is "fiction can change the world". 1 and 2 still mattered, even when fictional, the characters feelings and relations were real.

And none of this matters because it's in a seperate universe, so it doesn't affect the story of 1 and 2 at all.

yes it's actually terrifying, the villains can completely rewrite a person, they're like the actual writers but in-game.

I think the ending reveal of every Danganronpa game was a bit of a wet fart, but V3 was impressively bad.

all the mysteries and questions set up? its not real! No explanation needed because it's not real. Did we mention it's not real? We're going to repeat it for 45 minutes of cut scene just so you understand.

I did like the realising the first case was a setup and returning to it part. But after that? Yeesh.
Ghosts are cool.

Oh no, the work of fiction that i enjoyed was actually a work of fiction!! now i cant enjoy the game ! Also wtf do you mean kaede never gave 2 shits about shuici, from the moment thr game began yes she did. Thats like saying none of the characters actually gave a shit about each other in D2 because they were all ultimate despair.

You literally have to be going out of your way to miss the point. You should really ask yourself why is it that other people who disagree with me on the ending understood my point yet you're still struggling to figure it out

Like if you can't differentiate a basic fictional story from a twist that nothing actually took place, everything that happened in the series was just part of a game show and no one in said fictional story ever had authentic relationships with each other , I really don't know what to tell you. I can only dumb it down so much.
Are you talking about D3 itself or D3s effect on D1&2 cus you keep flip flopping between what point youre trying to make and its making it hard to respond. Id youre talking about D3 It was real TO THEM, from then moment the game began the relationships were authentic to THEM.
If youre talking about 1&2. Then i really dont see what point youre trying to make, then its just a story within that story, whats wrong with that? Within the world of D1 and 2 everything still happened, like i really dont see why it being 1 step removed causes such an issue for you. If your argument is now its not real well it was never real, its a video game. If your argument is its not real within the game yes it is, within D1 is real, within d2 is real and within d3 d3 is real.

Are you gonna replay D1 and be like, oh none of this is actually happening bad game this its all fake? You could say that about anything, last of us is all fake actors in a studio made it
