I'm getting it. Looks spoopy. Might spook me a little since ghosts spook me. I've now realized I am simply incapable of being scared of Resident Evil because I'm just too interested in the scifi lore.

I'm apprehensive. I really don't like the way the combat looks. And this game is yet another victim of the souls virus.

Im getting it day one. A reviewer broke embargo and gave the game a score of 9.5/10.

Im hopeful.

I'm getting it for sure.

I'm currently waiting on the Trails in the Sky Remake that's coming out on Friday. That'll probably take me to early October to finish at which point I'll start Silent Hill f to kick off my October horror game marathon.

That's weird. I think you're just wired to think "Kinda scary but cute" is way more scary than actual scary.

I've never found the RE games to be scary. Whenever it gets close. It's almost always jump scares. Only time the series ever really got there for me was the baby in Village.

Making it so combat-focused was a mistake. SH was never about the combat and the janky combat of previous games made sense because you were playing as nobodies.

They enlisted a pretty well-known visual novel writer to write the story, so here's to hoping the story still comes through. I won't find our personally though - this stuff scares the shit out of me

I love Ryukishi07 so I'm interested in how the story will pan out.

Probably won't buy it though, I don't like playing horror games on my own.

Perhaps. Another part could be that I find unexplainable ghostly/demonic phenomenon to be scarier than grounded things with explanations, even if fantastic. The games I mentioned have glitches and creepypasta elements that give me goosebumps in ways stuff like zombies don't. I'll admit creepypasta has historically scared me way more than it should. Things like Silent Hill and Fatal Frame still scare me fine.

Yes, I preordered it months ago because Ryukishi07 is involved. It's my first ever Silent Hill game and I love the Higurashi series.

It's getting some really good pre-release buzz, and it does look pretty fucking amazing.

I'm definitely gonna pick it up. Not immediately, because I've only just got round to starting 2 Remake, but I am hyped.

Definitely getting it. Love Silent Hill. Absolutely no clue who the writer is or what exactly they wrote before but I've only heard them being mentioned in a very positive light so I have high hopes.

I'm on the fence... I'm not a big Silent Hill guy (Just haven't really played much) but F looks cool... Might grab it on sale eventually like I did with SH2 Remake

not on day one since i doubt my rig will run it but if it turns out i can i will
ryu07 being behind the story is one major reason why i am hyped for it and the combat seems clunky like the old SH games for me so i feel the game is in good hands combat wise too

No, Konami screwed up the Silent Hill series over and over and over again, so I have zero faith that they won't fuck this up too. Plus, what I have seen of this game so far made me think of Fatal Frame much more than Silent Hill.
