What if the bonobo were the next ones stepping up to the plate and all they wanted to do was build community and make everything as good and efficient as it can be so they can spend all day fucking and sleeping? They just want to minimize work as much as possible (while acknowledging that it still needs done on some level) and there aren't any bonobo who are like "man, it would be cool if I had like, a trillion more bananas than everyone else... and I don't care what I have to destroy to get there".
I think people really over estimate our existence. We are just a sentient, conscious, intelligent animal. Any other species will have the exact same issues. We are simply a part of nature and while species like us are extremely rare in the universe, I'm sure given a stable planetary condition like earth where a species like ourselves can evolve, another species will evolve too and just like us, they too will invent AI. That's "The beauty of the life"
