What do you look for first, or what's most important to you?

So many places have nothing but a dinky sink in the one bathroom I want like a shelf so I can put my waterpik and electric toothbrush.

The basement so you can check for things like foundation damage, flooding/leaking, if the furnace is good, etc.

Also the state of the basement tends to tell you whether or not the house is genuinely well-maintained or if everything above ground level has just prettied up to sell
Gotta make sure it has a bathroom. Other rooms are more easily interchangeable and/or unnecessary.
It was Kitchen and bathroom. Front bathroom shower was walk in. The room was about as big as some bed rooms even had a closet. Kitchen was ok but with through a friend of a friend I had all the cabinets handmade. I hung them myself but that my friends friend passed away. Never got the doors

Frankly, I'm a little surprised, I thought for sure kitchen would have had a much bigger lead.
