I have a gay sibling and say I love her for who she is

like if I had a nonbinary sibling would it be grammatically correct to say I love them for who they is or do I keep with they are?

Its one of those weird cases where it makes sense if you dont think about it, and it makes sense if you think about it a bit more in depth, but it can seem a bit weird if youre in that in between zone with regards to how much thought you give it. Mostly because the use of are with singular they is a subconscious thing for many native speakers; and appropriately addressing non-binary people is something that (at first) requires conscious thought.

Youd use the same grammar as you would when referring to someone whose gender is unknown. For example, if a locksmith is on their way to your house and you dont know if theyre a male or female, you might say something like I got a text from the locksmith. They said they are on their way here now. So yes, youd keep it as they are.
Yes, it is against the terms of service. Do not use the boards to set up orgies.
