Wow...guy needs to shut the fuck up. Every bit of talk from him about this has dug him deeper in the hole and this is no exception. At this point I do not see MAGA by and large buying into this bullshit. They're stupid and easily conned, but HE RAN on releasing the files and they though if they voted for him they could have a hand in taking down the shadowy men behind the curtains. They made this a HUGE part of their personality, and now they're being denied in the most bizarre ways, especially after his DOJ saying the files will be Pam's desk like 2 months ago. They gave out binders full of women to influencers to parade around with.

This is a most pleasing development. As well as the (confirmed?) reporting that various right wing influencers were told to tone down their criticism from the WH and some did.

I have no hope that this will stick to him. The cult always falls back in line. People watched him mismanage a pandemic and try to overthrow the government and still wanted more. It is unbelievable how dumb, brainwashed, and generally lazy so many voters in this country are.

But still-how can anyone read the screed he posted and think That is absolutely a strong leader I want to follow.? My God. The guy is obviously super damaged, and has been since well before he entered politics.
An opinion does not turn into a fact simply because the person holding it feels strongly about it.

He probably thought he could sweep this under the rug like "Lock Her Up!"

He made that a huge part of his first campaign despite not ever being able to identify what crimes she committed. But it was hardly brought up again while in office and after 4 years Hillary is still a free person.

He figured he could gain support by campaigning on releasing the files, but he thought he could just quietly forget about the promise much like Lock Her Up, or maybe just string people along with crumbs for 4 years(which, the realization in that case for many would only happen after his term is up), and then it's just nothing.

I legitimately feel he underestimated his base when he ran on this. This isn't so easy to sweep under the rug like other things. And, going on and on about Democrat hoax isn't going to win here, necessarily, because if it is a hoax expand on it and put the people perpetuating the hoax in jail.

This entire Epstein thing is the biggest smokescreen. We need to be talking about the ruined economy, the politicians profiting from it, and the international wars that we have no business involving ourselves in.

If Epstein had been arrested last week and murdered sorry, committed suicide then this would be worth talking about. They literally dig up a years-old story to try to distract us from the real issues.

We all know that most of the names on the list were extremely famous and powerful people and we all knew from the start that the list would never be released to the public, so why talk about it now?

In a fair world, every person on that list would do life in prison, but we live in the United States, so you have to be realistic.

I can see certain republican house members(MTG, Massie, Johnson) blocking the release the other day because Ro Khanna introduced it. They want it to be brought forth by republicans so they can have more control and can do damage control better, possibly. Or they just want to be the ones who did it, fuck you Ro.

In any case, they probably really want the DOJ to release the files to save them all the headache of a show in the House. But Pan and Kash won't do anything daddy doesn't authorize.
