in Dusk till Dawn

Mind you Dusk till Dawn is a vastly superior movie but Aaliyah's presence delivered as Vampire Queen in one scene alone

Hey Bayley! Oh! Ah! I wanna know!
Aaliyah was beautiful and a great choice for that role, although Im pretty sure my brain short circuited when Salma Hayek appeared on screen wearing next to nothing and making those curves work double time.

As much of a knockout as Salma was Aaliyah's felt more ethereal, surreal, and regal for the lack of better terms. I know the Vampires was a surprise twist but the gravity of the moment in QotD felt a tad heavier, while it didn't deliver later and DtD sure as hell did I think Aaliyah's enticement of giving into the darkside knowing the consequences in it's own way has more a tad more value than a shocking twist that leads to one's demise.

Akasha's intro stood out as something on a different level when Vampires were already established shame they rest of the movie didn't better follow up on that.

Salma is so beautiful she was mesmerizing in Dogma where she was a dancing stripper but she was doing it in a more comedic way and she was still jaw dropping. That woman just hits all my attributes across the board I find alluring and for 30+ years has been my celebrity crush. Plus she is a huge animal lover and seems to be from everything I can see really nice.

Salma Hayek in From Dusk Till Dawn is literally peak human
I know it might be wrong, but I'm in love with Stacy's dong
Queen of the Damned is a truly terrible adaptation and a terrible film when viewed separately from the source material too.

I wouldn't say terrible film all together but the act last sucked and brought the movie down

That's my point it doesn't discredit Aaliyah though. She made Chicken Salad with a Golden Egg out of Chicken Shit given the amount of screentime she had and how bad the ending fight scene was.

I agree with the topic title, but I also agree that the Queen of the Damned movie was bad.

hopefully the TV show will do the storyline justice (next year, we'll get The Vampire Lestat).
Don't you agree, Zach?

Awww we talking queen of the Damned????

I LOVE that movie, and lemme say, Aaliyah is perfection. The way the moves, carries herself, etc. I haven't seen anyone else pull off an elder vampire like her.
Would you follow a blind man?
I would if I was in the dark
Rather sucks the movie got torn apart in terms reviews. And on another note, next year marks 25 years since she passed also.

I kind of have to wonder how far she she would have gone with acting had she lived.
Would've, could've, should've. Would of, should of, and could of ARE INCORRECT!!!!
Aaliyah was the only good thing about the movie and her acting wasn't anything stellar. Not a knock, it was like her first major role.

Isn't Queen of the Damned part of another series?

Well, sort of. The Vampire Lestat comes inbetween.
Listen, I love Aaliyah, both as a singer and as a gorgeous woman, in her own right (and she passed way too young), but she isnt even in the same realm or universe as Salma when it comes to attractiveness or allure. As I said, Aaliyah was gorgeous, but young Salma was a legit goddess.

And the quality of the films doesnt help this either. From Dusk till Dawn was a truly unique and good vampire flick, while Queen of the Damned was a bastardization of Anne Rices work. Aaliyah was the best part of that movie, but that isnt saying much, when the rest of it was absolute dog shit. And Im not trying to be nasty, but as a fan of Rice, and her writings, QotD was a travesty in just about every way you could measure it.
Before me things create were none, save things eternal, and eternal I endure.

It's the 3rd book in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles series. Interview with the Vampire was the first book.

The movie was underrated. It had half the budget of the first and none of the original cast returned (too expensive), but it's one of my favorite vampire flicks.

No, it was rightly seen as awful.

Yeah this for me. Salma Hayek basically began my heavy attraction to curvy girls in that scene. She was and still is absolutely stunning.
