Thanks for reminding me, will check out when I get home from work.
Corruption that you can believe in.
(She/her)
Only one episode down and I was kind of disinterested but I saw it may pick up in episode 2
Currently Playing: Clair Obscur
Pretty fun series so far. I like how clunky her suit looks and feels.
If you need the threat of eternal damnation to be a good person, you're just a bad person on a leash.
still in the middle of the first episode and liking it so far even tho most of these MCU shows start good it's the finale where most miss or land so hope this shows finale is good

Really digging the first 3 episodes I saw. We're definitely leading up to Mephisto

been trolled too many times so i am done hoping he shows up just like shuma gorath in the MCU
and yeah i watched all 3 and liking it so far. just hope they keep it low stakes and not another ''world ending'' stake

i really do not like the ending

i was actually enjoying the show about to put it at number 3 in my top MCU shows

but that ending with riri selling her soul goes against her entire arc

Just saw the last episode. This is one of the best MCU shows, imo. One of the more complicated characters in all of the MCU so far, and I cant wait to see how this turns out in future MCU shows/movies.

this show is good and doesn't deserve all the hate is getting

Holy fuck, can't believe it finally happened. And Riri making the deal is freakin great, such a better character than Wakanda Forever..

Also good to get another villain that doesn't die at the end of the story.
You are now breathing manually.
Holy shit, Mephisto's true form can briefly be seen in the spoon when he's talking to Riri

watched the finale and yeah this show was good and i repeat doesn't deserve all the basing it's getting
and man they teased about mephisto for so long but finally he is here and i liked how was handled
looking foward to see how this ties into other show's/movies

I agree, I was surprised by this show.

I didn't expect to dislike it by any means, but they gave Riri a level of depth and moral ambiguity I really wasn't expecting.

I like how they're heavily leaning into the idea of merging magic with technology, which definitely brings to mind Doctor Doom. I would not be surprised if we see some parallels between Doom and Riri, and I didn't even think about how interesting that dynamic could be until this show, especially with Doom being played by RDJ.

All of this brings into question where Mephisto will pop up next. I'd love if this was all leading up to a Midnight Sons project.

disagree
her making the deal fits her character. she was dealing with trauma and loss so if she had a way to bring her back she would take it and is willing to pay the price if only she is the one paying it as she said to mephisto

yep this is the part i really liked so hope we get a tie in with agatha all along

Now that he's finally here, I'm even more bummed he wasn't involved with No Way Home, but whatever, I can live with it.

Hoping Zelma has a long MCU future. She was fun.

Joe was great, Zeke was an ass. I know that was on purpose, but hopefully if we get more he gets back his personality.

Loved it, and the 3+3 release definitely helped.
I apologize for nothing!
One thing that piqued my curiosity was how Zelma was able to travel between dimensions without the use of a Sling Ring.
If you need the threat of eternal damnation to be a good person, you're just a bad person on a leash.
Mephisto talking shit like Dormammu wouldn't send him feeling back to hell the second he showed up.

bumping this so people who are on the fence check this show out
it was good and the ending was decent so give it a shot guys

My guess is that it was because the place she teleported to was directly linked to the shop. So she could step between the realms in that location but not freely teleport around.

Because later while at White Castle she very explicitly didn't teleport her or Riri away despite that being the very obvious solution otherwise.

3.5 episodes in and it's solid so far. I don't get the hate. I'm not talking about chuds but even some reviewers who are non chuds said it was bad.

I'll say 1/2 way in I like it more than secret invasion, echo, MS marvel, Loki 1/2 (didn't like Loki) and some other stuff

imo i feel like they are so used to likeable characters they forgot not all MC should be one and can be a flawed asshole or dumbass that keep tumbling doing the rabbit hole
riri to me is a decent character who is dealing with trauma and it's closed off and reminds me of young tony stark
"You can pretend to be serious; you can't pretend to be witty." - Sacha Guitry (1885-1957)
I thought it was an interesting choice to give Riri terrible judgement. At first I was annoyed, but I eventually appreciated having a flawed character.
I feel like Riri needs to go back to the drawing board for the suspension that dampens her repulsors pushing back.

I dont recall Tony having that problem after Mark 2

PS4 looks great
7/10 the hate is over done cuz people forgot not all super hero's are these perfect zero flaws MC's

Yeah I just finished episode 4. If the last 2 keep it up, this show should be a 7 or even an 8/10

2/3 of the way it's better than so many other marvel shows at this point

To this day I'll never understand how Ms marvel didn't get review bombed as well. It still has a 70 something audience score

Once she realises she will have to weaponise the suit at some point, then she'll catch on.

Not sure why people keep saying this since I cant think of an MCU character that isnt deeply flawed.

Cap
Bucky after being fixed
Sam
Tchalla
Shang chi
Ms marvel
Monica rambeau
Sersi
Kate Bishop
Cassie lang

These guys all have no flaws
6/10 not great but still pretty decent. I liked RiRi being a complex character, Tony was erratic and irresponsible but RiRi despite her tragic background being a legit motive for her actions was the most selfish and least noble MCU Hero we've seen so far aside from Wanda. who knows she might even become a host for Blackheart or something given she sold her soul to Mephisto

On the flip side Cap and Kamala are probably the most noble MCU characters. Cap did make a critical judgement error regarding hiding the nature of Tony's parents death but some of that was a lack of hindsight and not being 100% sure Bucky was actually the killer.

Ok so wtf. Finished the show and it's good??

I think one of the best MCU shows. This show couldn't support weekly episodes but 2 weeks was the way to go.

Mephisto was awesome.

Solid 8/10.

I think I liked this about as much as born again.
I really enjoyed that show. Shame everyone seems to be disinterested in it. Definitely worth the watch

Seems like people giving it a chance are liking it. Let's see. It does have some online buzz.

After daredevil kind of flopped and Agatha did well, maybe this could do alright

it really seems post Quantumania we have returned to good to great MCU on average.

Eh we got secret invasion, echo, brave new World and marvels after ant Man so that's not true

But for me marvel is on a mini streak with daredevil, thunderbolts and ironheart
Finished it yesterday. Only thing I didn't like about it is Sacha Baron Cohen but other than that, it was fun.
Spongebob is not a contraceptive.
One thing that kind of bothered me about her final suit was the color scheme, they striped down the cuda that was 85% red and 15% black but ended up with a suit that was 90% black and 10% red. I really don't think there was enough black in the car to make the suit almost entirely black.
