A nuclear armed country run by a theocratic, authoritarian isn't a good thing and most countries are probably in part breathing a short term sigh of relief that Iran isn't going to get any significant amount of nuclear bombs in the near future.

If Trump actually doesn't try to invade Iran this will easily become a major "win" for him with public perception.

He will be seen as the person who destroyed Iran's ability to get a nuke (even though he caused this mess by destroying the Iran nuclear agreement).

That said this will cause long term consequences. A lot of countries are probably going to try to secretly make nukes like North Korea did in the early 00s.

Assuming this is accurate news this is telling me that Iran is trying to downplay this and not respond to it besides maybe a token response of lobbing a few missiles at some American base. Anything more would likely cause a huge retaliation by America and Iran does not want that.
