Woah, surprised to see my name here. Thanks! I occasionallyyyyyyyy comment, but mostly avoid it.

And not that I'm sticking up for Neon in any way but I think there is a difference between not caring and total indifference than just not coming here for that. That part I kind of get because I also walk that line myself. It's not that I'm completely checked out about it, it's just that I'm here to focus on games, movies, music, books, entertainment and general fun stuff.

Like I totally understand there is heavy stuff going on that impacts peoples lives directly and I totally get I'm privileged enough that I can just zone out and not make that stuff my focus and think about fun stuff.

But he would use it as a tool to poke others and rile them up about it. Borderline trolling at times. I think that is the primary difference. He would flaunt not caring about it just to piss people off.

Thank You kindly. Honestly makes me feel better. I can be very long winded and heavy on reminiscing at times and I know I repeat some of my same experiences but it is nice to see people get my general gist and vibe. Sometimes I feel unnoticed and I feel like it probably just gets skipped because I type too much haha, so seriously thanks and the fact that a couple people have noticed my tendencies actually makes me feel good.

I just assumed that considering his job and the stuff he can see during, is streesfull and tunes it out or just doesn't deal with it because it would be too much for him

some people just want a place to chill

personally I also don't see much value in talking about most political issues with pretty much anyone on this board. I think that used to work better than it does nowadays, where somehow I feel like even topics which shouldn't be political at all have a tendency to twist into that direction in ways I cannot even comprehend.

Entering political topics and making a big deal of not caring is basically like a petition against that sort of topic in its entirety. like a "get this off my board please I'm tired of it". just avoiding the topics doesn't do this in quite the same way

I always saw it as not making it his whole identity to worry about stuff he cant control and / or learning how to adapt to whats happening to make it work. Not everyone wants to doom 24/7

Lots of people working in the medical profession lack empathy. In some cases it allows them to focus and work efficiently without being overwhelmed with feelings for the patients.

Not really a fan of anyone being banned, except in extreme cases. That said, I won't miss the way he ran to that dumb Batman quote whenever he was caught taking a shit in the middle of the room. Guy is in his 40s, for fuck's sake.
