I don't like waffles anyway. Not a big pancake fan while we are at it. I can handle small thin pancakes in small doses but only with butter. No syrup. I dislike syrup and yes I have had real maple syrup.

When it comes to savory breakfast stuff french toast is way better than pancakes or waffles. As for the chicken combo? Give me chicken and biscuits all day long. Great combo. Chicken and waffles no thanks.

This. You need to get it at a place with legitimate fried chicken. This way, if the waffle is mid, at least you have good fried chicken.

I think all syrup sucks but yeah I think real is worse but any time I say I don't like syrup without that qualifier someone always comes in with a "you probably haven't had real maple syrup"

Whenever I think of Chicken and Waffles I'm reminded of the time Chic Fil A tried doing it. Their waffles were dry as hell and if you asked anyone for syrup (because it was dry as hell) they just said the waffle was already syrup flavored lol

Anyways I've also had proper chicken and waffles but I don't get the hype. It's just kind of fine. >_>

i've only had chicken and waffles once, and the place that i went to doesn't exist anymore (The Raving Gamer - was a restaurant that had a metric shit-ton of board games you could play while you ate), but holy shit it was a fantastic meal.

Definitely would get it again somewhere else at some point.
