He isn't even allowed to drive. Is there a story behind this?
Is there a story behind this?No president is allowed to drive.

Is there a story behind this?Only that no current or former president is legally allowed to drive on public roads.

Trump probably hasnt driven himself in like 60 years. Can you imagine the road rage if he did?

Lmao, we need one of those "X is no longer my best friend" memes for Elon and Trump. That would require Trump to make a new friend lmao
That would require Trump to make a new friend lmaoTouch
Weak. He should be destroying it in some sort of monster truck rally.Puncturing EV batteries causes a really big explosion/fire or death by electricution so not the best idea. EV's are easily the most dangerous vehicles on the road. Super heavy compared to a similar IC engine vehicle, way easier to cause an explosion (gas requires a spark, batteries don't) and the added risk of severe electricution for the driver and any tech who has to work on the damn thing.

When was this made into law? It's part of the Former Presidents Act that was passed in 1958
I'm pretty sure I've read accounts of people getting a ride on a car driven by Franklin Roosevelt while he was president.
Though I guess it could have been a publicity thing given his condition and he apparently drove a specially designed car which didn't need him to use his feet to operate.

Second, if we can figure out a way to drain the gas tank on regular cars before truckosaurus eats it then surely we can remove the battery on EVs. EVs will not be the death of monster truck rallies.Yeah, that was a little bit silly on their part. I don't know about other EVs, but Tesla battery packs are right there on the underside of the car for relatively easy access. Disconnect it and take it off.

First, Trump wasnt elected for pushing the best ideas. Even you said you were rooting for Trump to win for the lulz.
There's nothing there about not being allowed to drive. They're allowed to drive on their own property, but not public roads because of incidents like JFK assassination, and the fact they would be a prime target.
Only that no current or former president is legally allowed to drive on public roads.Wait what why
They're allowed to drive on their own property, but not public roads because of incidents like JFK assassination, and the fact they would be a prime target.Oh

Is there a story behind this?Probably a combination of being a president so the SS won't let him drive himself, and being so old and senile he considers it an accomplishment to be coordinated enough to drink a glass of water. Imagine a dude barely put together enough to put a cup to his lips trying to drive a car.
