Prerequisite is the first word that comes to mind. There are a few others but I always struggle with that one.

Yeah, it's probably the sparse bit of German pronunciation I learned that screwed me over. The long 'e' vowel sound in German is 'ie', whilst 'ei' is reserved for the long 'i' vowel sound.

Which neglects cases where i does come before e after c, hence why the rule is "insufficient"
