Anyone have opinions on Kia cars, specifically the K5 GT?

I'm looking into getting a new car and the Kia K5 GT has caught my attention. I can easily get a fully loaded one with all the features for under $38,000 before taxes and fees which seems like a great deal for car with all the features it has.

I've heard Kias have gotten better and their warranty on paper is really good. However, I'm still concerned because of their less than stellar reputation.

Are Kias still being targeted by thieves?

Their new cars don't have the same flaws but I still here anecdotal stories of thieves targeting any Kia.

Don't know if they are still being targeted more than the average car.

Not that one, but I have a 2020 Kia Rio S. I'm quite happy with it. No issues.

I was given a 23 or 24 Telluride as a rental and put about 300 miles on it. I liked it.

Don't know how reliable they are but I'd imagine they must be alright if a rental car company buys them.
