And realized it could be the house my fifth grade crush lived in. I worked up the courage to ask for her phone number before summer break but never the courage to actually call her.

The thought of moving in to her house nearly three decades after the fact felt very ironic.

Also I doubt it would have worked out she ended up going to the other high school in town even though she lived like two blocks away.
