It's gonna be crazy how many records GTA VI will break when it launches

Baring something really weird happening it is easily going to be the largest launch day of any media property in history. The trailer that was posted yesterday already has 75 million Youtube views. That is insane, especially since a lot of people don't even use Youtube anymore and only use social media sites like Tiktok and Instagram.

I wouldn't doubt it if they charge $99 for the game and shatter all single day revenue records by a large margin.

I think they could charge up to $150 tbh. The amount it cost them and the amount of mileage you'll get out of it....

Overhyped

My favorite part of the trailer was the people who tried to play it off all cool like "sure looks good but wake up when they show gameplay" Or "Yeah looks alright on a high end PC but I want to know what it looks like on a console"

Then the next day Rockstar says it was on a PS5 and was half cutscene half gameplay elements. Then all those same people dug their heels in and claimed Rockstar was lying.

That was legitimately entertaining to me. The people who go out of their way to tell you they aren't into GTA or don't get why people like it I just ignore. They aren't worth engaging with. But the ones who acted non impressed because they wanted gameplay footage, that was great.

With all of that out of the way, yeah my friends and I have discussed this for a year or two now and we know it is going to crush any entertainment revenue record by a longshot. It is going to be so fucking huge. Can't wait. I'll be part of it for sure. Love me some GTA. This game is going to look fucking incredible on my high end 83 inch OLED. Can't fucking wait to crank up my sound system and enjoy this version of Vice City. The previous Vice City remains my favorite world in GTA.

I havent even seen the trailer for it yet.
I guess maybe I'll get it if there's a 50% discount
