It's pretty much modern day C&C. Same music composer with a phenomenal soundtrack. Same concept of a NATO-style alliance with more technology fighting against a mysterious black-and-red cult for control of a mysterious substance that's growing across the surface of the planet...
I only focused on the campaigns, didn't touch multiplayer since I suck at RTS. They were fun, could have benefited from just a few more missions to polish out the story. GDF story felt very... half-assed, Dynasty felt like it was more fleshed out.
Gameplay-wise, I felt like Dynasty had a lot more to micromanage, also I hated that half their units are better at close range, also the upgrade system is pretty bad. I guess I'm used to SC2 where you build an upgrade building and then research upgrades there. Here, you just buy an add-on to an existing building and it unlocks additional units and that's about it. Actually there is no unit upgrading.
finally 200/200 unit cap.... it wasn't too annoying in the campaign though there were a couple of times when I encountered an enemy that just wiped out 25 supply in a second lol.
fml I'm tired.
