I love it so much here. I hate AmericaMe too.
Such a peaceful and authentic Japanese experience!! I really want to try onsen or sento but I'm terrified at the concept lolI did it like 5 times, nearly every day! It was amazing. Hanging d*** with the locals didn't bother me after doing it once lol
Im trying to gain the courage. My hotel has a public bath and I might go tonight if I can (wo)man up!You got enough courage stat like in Persona! I even got my friends to join me on my last night too and they all agreed it was amazing and wish they did it earlier. Don't regret not doing it.
I loved Odaiba! I went a year ago, it's a really cool little place. Walking the bridge there is a fond memory, I'm hoping to do that again. And the beach there is cute
Thank you for the recommendations! I have no itinerary so I'll take anything hehe
I was in Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto for a week and I'm sure Japan has its problems, plus I was on vacation/honeymoon so there's that, but it felt like such a better place to live than anywhere in America. Im jealous you're there rn. I can't wait to go back lol
Ugh, I know right? I'm so sick of America and it's just going to get worse lmao
just do the same, but from Japan!Japan is 12 hours ahead. So you gotta sleep during the day and wake up and do work in the middle of the night in your hotel room? >_>

Is it true dat instead of bibles, Hotels in Japan have random Volumes of da One Piece manga?

Ive never cared for Tokyo but Im glad youre appreciating the experience. If its in your budget, I recommend checking out Yurakucho/Ginza. If youre feeling a little bit adventurous, go to Odaiba and also checkout Yokohama. The Skytree and the shopping mall below it are pretty fun too.
Shinjuku/Kabukicho, Shibuya, Ikebukuro, and Akihabara are all toilets in my opinion.
If youre interested in 20th century pop culture, I recommend going to Nakano and checking out some of the stores they have at the Nakano Broadway.
do you need to know anyone Japanese, or can you get by with English?
Oh yeah then why don't you marry it?
do you need to know anyone Japanese, or can you get by with English?
In any major city you don't need to know Japanese to go anywhere a tourist would normally want to go. If you go to the middle of nowhere where I live that's a different story, but most people wouldn't try to do that on vacation.
I have today and tomorrow left in Osaka, then I head to Tokyo. This country fails to rock. It might not be perfect but God, theres little here to hate for sure.I loved Osaka. I stayed right in Dotonbori and it was the best time I've ever had on vacation. What have you done in Osaka so far? I want recs for my next visit lmao
I'll also be revisiting fushimi inari and nara!!! Those were my 2 favorite places. In Kyoto now and really sad I'm missing the shrines my first visit out here. Friend slept in until literally just now and we have the Nintendo Museum to hit up in a couple hours. Leaving early tomorrow for Osaka.
Overall or foodwise? Did the typical nara stuff. Did shopping. Went to Dragon quest island. Doing an escape room in 2 hours, seeing a comedy show at Namba today just after it. Going to try an okonomiyaki place later. If you recommend that ramen place, we have one night left here. Maybe we will check it outI do recommend that ramen shop. It's super tiny but it wasn't busy when we went. It was the best ramen we had on the whole trip imo.
Tomorrow I'm going to kyoto to stay at a hostel for a few days. I'll have 3 other ladies in my room. I gooe they're cool! There's an onsen a 10 minute walk away that allows tattoos, so it must be foreigner friendly. I'm thinking about doing it

There's also this Japanese kawaii punk hookah bar not too far away. I forget its name but it was fun vibes lol
If either of you are going to Asakusa I recommend a bar called Not Suspicious. Super small place but the vibes are super cool. And if by the off chance you're in Kawasaki I rec Bar Laugh. Super nice couple owns the bar. High end cocktails with pristine presentation for super cheap. Tell them their friends from Vegas sent you.
revving their illegally modified cars so loud you can actually feel the vibration from the sound
- idk if the karoshi thing (death by overwork) is actually true, people seem to come and go on the standard rush hours (8 am and 6pm). maybe it's only specific companies and people who really want to climb the corporate ladder?

And neither me nor my wife work more here than we did when we lived in the US or China.https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/7/71f4d65e.png
