Nooooooooooooo, they limited Generaider Boss Stage in the N/R tryout duel! With only 1 Boss Stage (and only 1 Planet Pathfinder as well) I'm not sure I can make Generaider work. I still have 3 other deck ideas though (Sky Striker, Kozmo, trap monster control) so it's not too bad.

I ended up reviving my old Baby Invoked Shaddoll deck for the N/R event, using Magistus cards (since Crowley is just younger Aleister) and the lower rarity Shaddolls. Won 3 out of 5 games, which is pretty decent considering I made no updates to it since the last N/R event three years ago.

Had a beautiful duel where I straight up drew the entire Maxx C package + Memento Bone Party without the Maxx C for 3 turns straight. Survived off hand traps, couldn't do anything.

Meanwhile after those 3 turns of just skipping, I do one thing and my opponent Maxx C's and I have to pass turn. Genuinely getting worse. I feel like semi Maxx C makes it even worse feeling

Ok, well after that, had an actually beautiful duel of a Memento mirror match where I somehow managed to navigate through IP Apo and the 2 big Memento guys + 5 whole face downs. That duel took forever and I was in a winning position eventually after nearly running out of time. Then suddenly he timed out. I would've won, but I mean it was slightly deflating

Very nice. With that several 1 and 1.5 card combos to get early monster negate is not a dream anymore.

Eh, forgot that FEVER needs a Lv 3 Psychic in GY. No biggie. As long as I can play PUNK cards.

Farewell, Sky Striker alt arts. I'm officially out of gems to spend after completely emptying out the gems you can earn from solo mode to squeeze out a couple more pulls, I didn't manage to pull any more royals to add to the Hayate I got last month, and the alt arts leave the shop later tonight. Oh well. I still got a full set of every alt art and a whole fuckton of crafting points to spend on whatever deck I decide to build next.

I have most of a PUNK deck - is it just 1 of the Xyz and 3 of the new level 8? I don't usually play PUNKs, but it would be nice to have it for a Synchro event.

That would be the best amount.

The new Lv. 8 is pretty nice and allows for some 1 card combo. Easy summoning condition for following turns and quite a beatstick as well.

The Xyz is really only for early monster negate and not splashable because it requires Lv. 3 Psychic mon in GY so pretty much only PUNK can use it.

edit: oh wow the extra deck is packed if I insert Demonsmith. Damn, man

Holy shit, I got 2 royal UR's in a single 10-pull. I think this might be the first time I've ever had a 10-pull that lucky in this game. I don't care about the Evil Hero card, but a royal Fiendsmith Rextremende is badass and I'm definitely going to use it. I built Primite Fiendsmith and updated my Fiendsmith Tearlaments deck with the new stuff (got the new Fiendsmith mate too) plus I also built Argostars and added QQ Enneagon to my Generaider deck. My side account has officially hit the 25 deck limit after this update.

Meanwhile, on my main account... I dismantled a copy of Solemn Judgment for 30 UR dust and that's it.

I use two in pure and it's fine.

Kind of a brick, but having a second Deer Note might help with further turns (if it goes beyond, anyway), especially if the field spell is still up.
Rising Scale kind of invalidates it in terms of ATK but Deer Note if linked away can bring a PUNK from GY which can be useful in some situation.

Apparently my Goblin Riders also ran out of extra deck space with Demonsmith inserted, even after taking out some extra (I basically have zero links outside Demonsmith stuff).

You'd almost never run 3 Deer Note, but sometimes 2 is right. H...He? is occasionally a great extender, and sometimes he's a surprise 2100 beatstick that clears a threat like S:P. Majority of the time Deer Note is summoned from the deck, which is why you only run 1

My current Gob Riders deck tragically don't run the Ze Amin package. It's bricked too much for me at times, surprisingly.

So the earliest monster negate in PUNK now is 6th summon. Konami just had to make Rising Scale 'if this card is special summoned' instead of ignition like Ze Amin. Oh well.

I've heard mixed things cuz they represent a style in which men often crossdresses so yeah I dunno. Seems women were specifically forbidden from Noh style historically but who knows how it is now.

Maybe there's a route possible where you make Rising Scale first. Honestly the fact that the negate requires a detach makes things a bit difficult. I guess another possibility is that if they Nib early, the new lvl 8 PUNK can extend off that. If they foolishly chain Nib to Dragon Drive, they can summon themselves anyways

I guess a Horus engine might honestly be decent for the deck. Either way, I'm running a minimum as possible Gob Riders engine too.

The shortest monster negate combo was like:
  • Ogre Dance searches Ze Amin then normal Ze Amin, OR Foxy Tune effect, send card to GY to special Ze Amin (#1 summon)
  • Ze Amin effect gets Rising Scale
  • Rising Scale banishes Foxy Tune/Ogre Dance, don't use effect (#2 summon)
  • Synchro into Amazing Dragon (#3 summon)
  • Amazing Dragon effect brings back Rising Scale (#4 summon)
  • Rising Scale effect, add to hand (if Foxy Tune) or special (if Ogre Dance) Sharakusai (#5 summon for Ogre Dance route)
  • Overlay Amazing Dragon into FEVER (#5 summon if Foxy Tune, #6 if Ogre Dance)
  • Sharakusai fusion and standard line start.
It's a trade between 1 card combo but at 6th summon, or 1.5 card but 5th summon.

Either way I think making FEVER is the first action to be done.

Edit:

I ran Demonsmith myself. The extra deck is too tight I'm still on the fence.

Primite blue eyes went up to 30%+ usage rate and is also 55%+ win rate

My girls in the RB front are still maintaining their high WR in 54%. The problem here though is that they're still a very going first deck that are nearly unbeatable going first and then basically bumps the rest of the WR with Maxx C. It physically hurts me to even consider that fact. The deck just takes too long to play on MD, I feel bad for my opponents

There have been decks with high WR and usage rates b4 but generally any t1 deck doesn't actually have a high WR because there are so many mirror matches. This is an indication that BE Primites are literally winning a great % of non-BE Primite match ups...

Yep, it's crazy. I don't think I've ever seen a deck be the most played deck and the highest win rate deck at the same time, because usually being the most played means mirror matches and bad pilots drag it down. Maybe it happened with Tenpai (I don't feel like going back to check) or Tearlaments (Konami didn't implement this duel usage statistics feature until after Tear Zero format was long gone so we'll never know) before, but those are the only 2 that come to mind off the top of my head.

You want to know how deranged I am? Nemeses Umbrella could actually recycle a banished PUNK and put a 2nd lvl 3 on the field. Corridor can hilariously become a Colossus. The lvl 2 Nemeses can make Elf. Just weird thoughts if we're going 3 field spell 3 new lvl 8 anyways.

I'm using Leviair to put F0 out there, which was an old tech I thought of. The deck does a lot of banishing and we can definitely make some use out of them I think

It's purely for how auto win Colossus is against BE Primite. It's something to consider, like Maxx C being an auto win against every deck in the game. The only big thing is that if they nat draw Drillbeam... I mean what can you do

So what deck(s) is everyone going to play in the "no whites allowed" I mean "no Synchros allowed" I mean "Fusion & Xyz & Link" event?

On my main account, my best option is probably Sky Striker. I could maybe make Spright work, but it has additional hits with only 1 Blue, 1 Starter, and 1 Elf. On my side account, I have more options that might work decently, since Ancient Gear, Generaider, and my newly built Argostars would all work in the event with little changes needed. Similar to Spright on my main account, I could maybe make Tearlaments or Branded work, but both decks have major hits. Tear has 1 Reinohart, no Tearkash, no Snow, and no Ishizu shufflers, while Branded has 1 Albaz, 1 Aluber, 1 Bystial Lubellion, 1 Branded Opening, and is extra hurt by the general problem of Called By and Crossout being banned for everyone. Actually, I think my combined Branded Tear deck might actually be better off than trying either one pure.

Bone Party is decent but it's actually not that make or break. Bone Party is an extender 90% of the time in MD because people aren't using that many targeted negation. Might surprise you to know though that Bone Party makes effects fizzle for Memento anyways.

They didn't limit Tatsunootoshigo, the best extender in Memento. It's basically good enough

Meanwhile I had an even win% today in Plat1 with Meme Goblins, which is by far my lowest win % in a very long time. Why? 5 out of 8 duels came down to who resolved Maxx C (I was on 3 of them) and I bricked on a 40 card deck with very few bricks in 2 duels, completely fumbled 1 duel that was playable vs. Lab, and then got wrecked going 2nd vs. Argostars, which I had basically 0 idea how to combat outside just nat draw Harpie's I guess.

Had even coin flip wins and bricks on 2 going firsts. Happy days. Meanwhile I got 3 wins against Blue Eyes of all things. Had a really cool sequence where I did the Bone Party pierce on my 5k guy and TTT steal their Tyrant for 8100 dmg total into Maiden and the Link-1. Hilarious stuff, but that was one of my Maxx C wins, which diminishes the win quite a bit
