My game keeps crashing. I just got to level 6 today, and it froze in the sewers at the start. It got stuck on a loading screen on my second or 3rd cave after exiting the sewers. Then just now in a cave, my frame rate dropped for seemingly no reason then the game crashed. >_>
I'm enjoying it, but that's annoying. Also I'm not sure what stats to focus on. I've heard mage us the way to go in Oblivion, and I usually go magic route, but there's so many stats and they don't seem to do what you'd expect(strength boosting stamina and carry weight, and endurance boosting health).

Intelligence and Willpower are the stats you need to focus on if you're going mage. Don't worry too much about Endurance. You're a mage, you're not gonna have high health anyway.I figured, and those were what I was boosting at first. But I put some points in endurance thinking it'd help my carry weight. Then realized after that I needed strength instead if that's what I wanted. Guess I'll go back to buffing those ones fully first then just using the spare points for whatever.
it's too bad there's no force shout in Oblivion(I think?)Yet.

In the original you would be rooted on the spot until you dropped something.
I'm running out of lockpicks. Only time that happened in og bliv was when I would sell them all after getting the skeleton keyDo you keep the skeleton key if you're arrested?

only stolen items are taken iirc and the key is given to youI mean if you're in a jail cell. They let you sneak in 1 lockpick to break out. Do you get the skeleton key instead?
Tip for lockpicking, if you push the pin back in before it falls all the way, it'll go back up and fall at the same speed. Learn the timing for the slow speed and you'll be set.The best explanation I've heard is that there are 3 speeds for the tumblers: fast, medium, and slow. When you push a tumbler up, you can actually keep it up by continuing to push up before it falls back down. But the speed won't reset/change unless the tumbler falls all the way back to the bottom. The speed you want is slow, and apparently lots of people confuse it with medium. Just let the tumbler fall back down until you find something noticeably slower. Once you get a slow tumbler, just keep pushing it up until you're ready to lock it in place. Once I heard that explanation, I finally understood how to do lockpicking even at Very Hard.
OMG, a 5th crash!!!Try verifying game files. I crashed right at startup like 4 or 5 times

Is that dude that sells lockpicks still outside the wall of the Imperial City?Yup, Shady Sam(IIRC for his name) is still there.
Anybody got tips for fanciest non armor apparel? There's a problem there... The Remaster doesn't really do dark colors. What would be labelled as black(aside from perhaps Necromancer stuff) tends to be grey now. For Type 1 characters the Finery options are nice; they look goofy on Type 2 characters. If you want more of a magical flair the Silk Robes tend to look nice.
I'm looking for something black or very dark grey/blue with golden trim. I already have the gold trimmed shoes I need pants and a shirt.

Wow 500! Good work! I've been playing ESO it wasn't intentional to kick it up again after several years just before Remasterake of Oblivion dropped, but life works in strange ways.ESO turned into a rather great experience, I liked the story and exploration better than in Skyrim. How do you handle the gameplay though? Feels like each class is only good for one or two viable builds so it felt monotonous after a while
