Im the opposite. Im continually impressed by modern shipping. I ordered some high quality Turkish cotton dish towels from Turkey from a vender on Etsy and it was on my doorstep in rural Midwest US in 36 hours and was delivered by DHL which everyone complains about. In my experience, it's usually about a week if you don't pay for it. Which is honestly still pretty amazing.
I also ordered bamboo bedsheets from a woman in India on Etsy and had them in 2 days. And the last one that impressed me was a reindeer pelt from a furtrapper in Poland that lives in a remote area and I received in 4 days.
Im always blown away by how amazing shipping is these days.
I've had to order using DHL like five or so times, and they fucked it up every time but one. That one time it cost me like 120 USD in shipping.I end up using EMS most times. Generally costs less, and I know it'll 'eventually' get to me. I was considering using DHL, but having to put in the info myself warded me off.
Just got the Inbound out of Customs update. Tomorrow, maybe? Last time a package got out of customs it was at like 2 AM and I got it same day.Well theres no indication its out for delivery, which it normally would be at this time, even if it still took hours to get to me, so it still might take a while. I didnt notice last night, but my 2nd package reached the US, only took about a day. 3rd package has finally been shipped, its still at the start of its process.
Edit: Although, checking my last package, I didnt actually get that specific update, so
I ordered some albums on the 'Zon on March 25. It said they were supposed to arrive by April 17, which, ok I guess. Best price I could find and I wasn't in a hurry.Still not here, lol.
But where it got weird is I noticed like a week ago that the order completely disappeared from my orders section on the shopping app. After a couple of days, I discovered I could still find it but only by navigating through a browser. Still not shipped yet.
Just yesterday, I started thinking, if I don't see an update by April 17, I'm just going to cancel the order. But this morning it updated to shipped, and sure enough, expected Thursday.
All this time I had assumed it was going to take that long to ship, but I guess the seller orders them on demand or something. I dunno. Maybe they just have a nightmare of a warehouse and their process for finding stuff has a three week pipeline.
Anyway, this has been one of my more interesting orders.
I can't imagine what's possibly available overseas that isn't available here,
Still not here, lol.Hope it works out, Id personally probably wait, but I get why you might not care to.
I guess I'll cancel. Maybe wait til Monday just in case.
From someone on the inside its fucking chaos right now. You and millions of others are all trying to order shit from overseas before more possible tariffs hit. Volume is crazy right now.Appreciate the advice. Iirc, my first package was before the tariffs were really set in stone as to what theyd be, the others were after. Its more a bad timing thing than anything, the stuff I ordered only just came in stock, or I only just realized they were.
These changes to where a lot of things were mostly automated aren't anymore. Low value demininis was basically eradicated which increased volumes everywhere which messes with Amazon stuff now. Customs are also flagging shit under 800 for sec 321 violations a lot too.
We're trying our best but all the changes really fucked up all of this.
Be patient is my only advise and check your emails or phone calls from your shipper broker for more information needed on your shipment if you get them.

Currently waiting on a Retroid Pocket 5. I ordered one to put together for a raffle prize a couple weeks ago and when I was putting it together I fell in love with it. Retroid put out a release saying "hey, if you ordered something and it's not IN THE US by the 25th it might not get there" so I ordered one for myself and am paying for the expensive shipping to get here in a couple days.

Please tell me this thing sucks. I don't need to buy one.I have the 3 and it's great. According to Retro Game Corps the 5 is even better.
Hope it works out, Id personally probably wait, but I get why you might not care to.I called 'Zon support and according to them, shipping is just taking a long time. lol.
USA citizen here, do tariffs affect individual imports? Like less than $100 ones
Oh jeez, I just checked the page for this storefront. There are lots of reviews in the past 12 months from people who never received their item, and all of them are crossed out with a message from Amazon that says it's a shipping issue not related to the seller.
lol.
It says I can request a return through May 4. Maybe I'll wait until the 1st or so and then call customer service back.
I ordered a Samsung S9 tablet like a month ago because it was on a pretty steep sale with the S10 about to come out. It was supposed to be delivered by like, March 24, a couple days after I ordered it.Jeez, for the most part Ive been pretty okay with domestic shipping, but maybe that just goes to show how little I order. That sounds really frustrating, especially if you had been on a timetable.
11AM that day, I got an email from Walmart saying it was delayed, and to stay tuned for more information. Okay, sure, whatever. 2 weeks later, I still haven't heard anything, and am quietly refunded. I haven't been told anything - am I going to get re-charged once they finally have it in stock? So I wait another 2 weeks with literally zero information before I give up an order an iPad from somewhere else. It arrived Tuesday, and last night Walmart finally went "yeah we're cancelling your order" - I still have received zero actual information about it.
This isn't even like a "from overseas" complaint, just Walmart's online ****ing blows.

Sweet, my package arrived today. I was going to call TODAY to cancel it.Nice, glad you finally got it.
Finally got my CDs of Mogwai - Hawk is Howling and The Ramones - Rocket to Russia!
Goddammit, why is a package I ordered from Tallahassee taking TWO DAYS to reach me in Melbourne (it says Saturday but I think it'll update tomorrow to say it's in town)? It's the same state...Ive had things take like a week+ to even start shipping, even for stuff in the US, mail is weird, hope you get it soon.
Like a big, dumb goober, I ordered a Trails orbment pocket watch from Japan yesterday because I saw one actually came up for sale, and I am just hoping it arrives pretty much ever. I'll be out some money if I never get it, but I figured I would try.Sometimes youve just gotta jump on things when you see it up for sale. If its kinda rare, it could be months or years before it comes back up for sale, if ever. Dunno if what youre talking about is that rare, but still.
