Not that hard. Donald Trump.

Trump was doing stuff to actively and directly use the US government to hurt people for years before he teamed up with Musk.

Musk was just an annoying rich asshole, I didn't like him but he was not directly hurting me or people I care about.

They both made each other worse, but Trump got millions killed during Covid and lead a terrorist attack on US soil, all on his own. I hate Trump more.

(but both are horrible pieces of shit and it is an objective Truth the world would be a better place without either of them).

this a very tough choice and the best way i can answer is...

trump is more dangerous short term, like a nuclear bomb going off

musk is more dangerous long term, like the radiation fallout after the initial bomb goes off

*shutters at the thought of both these monsters

Musk is just a child with money, yeah he's dangerous but only when people listen to him. Trump is an asshole whose always been an asshole, and knows he's an asshole. He's also the asshole with his hand on the detonator metaphorically and in reality.

Trump. He is actively acting to harm the US and it's people. He is a direct threat to our country, and democracy itself.

Musk is only a threat because Trump allowed him to be. He is so blinded by greed that he willingly became a puppet to harm people for Trump, and is giddy because he got attention out of it.

They're both pathetic, stupid, and using the other for their own gains, but only one of them is knowingly destroying America. I'm not convinced Musk even understands that actions have consequences. He's just a big baby given a hammer to smack and told to go wild. While Trump gave him the hammer so he would do damage.

Musk, if only because he is (ostensibly) smart enough to know better. Or at least put in a great amount of effort to appear so before taking the acrobatic dive into ketamine fueled insane hate sprees.

Trump I had no such expectations of, as terrible as his actions are. He has been a known criminal for longer than the latest generation of voters have been alive. I hate that he was allowed power, again, I hate the playbook that he is enacting to shit up the nation for decades, but I do not have hatred for the man himself.

Elon Musk for all his many, MANY flaws, actually does contribute something with spaceX and electric cars. While Trump is doing absurd gambling with an entire country (and the world consequentially) without any consideration of consequences while going full conman.

I change my answer to Trump. He's orchestrating everything and was the one who hired musk, and he's actively destroying the country with tarrifs and alienating all allies, and threatening to deport people and sending them to prison in El Salvador, and freezing university funds for supporting Palestine,

Elon isn't really much of a bully. But Trump is. Both are pretentious narcissistic assholes who don't know what they are doing.

Trump hired Musk to cut jobs in the government. Musk had a pretty big role in hurting people's lives. I don't know how actively involved Trump was..

But they both (and other members of the cabinet) laid off thousands of government employees, and frozen lots of grant money in research and technology, leading to more layoffs that rely on government funding. I got laid off because of them. My former company was supposed to receive funding promised by the Biden administration.
Less is more. Everything you want, isn't everything you need.
